My Windows 10 computer cannot connect to my Start 25.
This fix is easy and works every time.
Take a USB memory stick and plug it in to the port you want to use. Windows will 'see' it. Remove the memory stick and Windows 10 will tell you that it has been removed. Then insert your TomTom and you will be able to download your updates. I don't know how this fix works - but it does. I guess the USB port needs to be primed in some way. No doubt somebody will get back to me with a detailed explanation which I won't understand.

Why are you posting this on a forum for the Runner watches rather than one for the SatNavs?0
