Lifetime maps is a lie?
I have an XL 'yes OK I know its old now' on the box it states VERY CLEARLY Lifetime traffic and maps.
When I connect to Toptom home I'm told there are no longer map updates and I cant buy maps as this is now too old.
Lifetime !!! surely means what it says.

Meaning of "lifetime", even by TT's logic, could very well be construed as Your lifetime, the Devices lifetime, the Companies lifetime or even when TT decide it's couldn't be bothered to continue to supply new maps etc to older devices when they can get you to buy less efficient new models.

Tomtom have already stated that Lifetime Maps and any Existing Map Subscriptions will be honoured
