MyDrive Android app login/sync problem

Often when I open the MyDrive app (v2.2.1) on my Android phone it doesn't show my contacts, and if I use the Send to Device function for a destination it reports that it's done that, but in practice it hasn't. The workaround is to logout of my TomTom account in the app and login again. It's tedious to have to do this most of the times I use the app though. Is this a known problem?
