TomTom Spark Cardio + Music will not update

I tried to update my Tom Tom Spark Cardio + Music watch from version 1.2.0 to whatever the latest version is but the TomTom Sports Connect would not update it. So I read one of the forums on here which said to factory reset the watch so I did that but now it is stuck in a boot loop where it will not register the device then as soon as I press register it comes up with the error message saying "We can fix this together. Resetting your watch will make it work as good as new" Followed by a button the says reset.

Edit: It also sometimes comes up with a screen saying "Oops, something has gone wrong. We cant tell what software version your watch is using. If this frequently happens, contact support." But there is nothing on the support page that even references my problem.

    At this point I would suggest calling Customer Support to see what they can do. They can more deeply investigate and diagnose problems than we can here on the user forum. To get the number for Customer Support, choose Contact Us at the bottom of this page, select the service required and the product name and click Contact Customer Care and then Phone Us. It will give you the phone number for the country your account is registered under (this can be changed by clicking the flag icon in the bottom right corner of the screen).
