Error 236 when buying anything

I've been trying to purchase a new map but I always get a 236 error when I get to the checkout, even before entering any credit card information.

I'm using the newest TomTom HOME version.

I've tried purchasing other stuff, reinstalling the application, creating a new account, changing my country, my delivery address - no success.

I've also tried doing it via the website - I get "Sorry, an error occurred. Please try again"

I've been having this problem since yesterday.
