Does calories burned in activity include BMR?

I just got a Spark 3 Cardio and tested it out during a gym session. It says I burned 289 calories during that activity. My question is, does that number include the BMR for the time I spent during that activity?

I understand that the calorie count displayed for the whole day (below the steps taken) includes BMR. But I'm not sure about the number specific to the activity.

Thanks in advance!

Yes it does, it is using your HR in a standard calorie burned formula, it is not netting out the calories you would have burned had you not done that activity.

I hope this helped answer your question. If so, please mark it as a solution so others can look for it if they have the same question.

Thank you, that's good to know!

Sort of annoying and a bit misleading, but now that I know at least I can do those calculations myself.
