Hello,
Recently I started walking/hiking and so far I used the freestyle activity. I was wondering if it would be more accurate to use the running activity instead, pros and cons. I read on internet different opinions so I thought to ask here.
Thanks to whom will answer ;)

You should use freestyle so you get amore accurate calorie calculation if you are using the HR sensor. Running uses MET tables, not your HR, for calories, whereas freestyle uses your HR. Other than that they are the same (both use GPS) and if you also run your runs will be separate from your walks.

I hope this helped answer your question. If so, please mark it as a solution so others can look for it if they have the same question.
