My TomTom Golfer 2 watch worked perfectly for about 18 months until the screen display became distorted and fuzzy enough to become illegible. I discovered that the cable connector was faulty and one of the 4 pins was not connecting properly. I tried to repair the pin, and reset the watch but it disconnected in the process. I ordered a new cable, and watch seemed to charge ok. However when disconnecting the display shows the time & seems normal for about an hour, then the screen locks with the PC/watch symbol. I followed TomTom instructions, but cannot reset as the syncing/update stops in mid-process ("installing watch update" stuck at 5%) for several hours (10-12+). Basically the watch will not update, to allow a factory reset, and is unusable.
Does anyone know what to do now?

At this point I would suggest calling Customer Support to see what they can do. They can more deeply investigate and diagnose problems than we can here on the user forum. To get the number for Customer Support, choose Contact Us at the bottom of this page, select the service required and the product name and click Contact Customer Care and then Phone Us. It will give you the phone number for the country your account is registered under (this can be changed by clicking the flag icon in the bottom right corner of the screen).
I hope this helped answer your question. If so, please mark it as a solution so others can look for it if they have the same question.0 -
There is a bug in Sports Connect 3.3.7 when installing global maps. Please update to 3.3.8 beta and try again.
