can't update maps on device, have a new computer

I got a new computer, downloaded the tomtom app to the computer, but when I clicked on update the new maps, it said I had two new maps to add, it downloaded for 8 hours. Then when the 8 hours was over, it said the maps were corrupt and I should delete.
