i delete data.chk ,and now i cant turn on my tomtom .

    Open Home. Top left is a menu. Select 'Tools'-->Home Preferences-->2nd tab is Folders. Click that for locations.

    Since that model is End of Life (no map updates) and it appears your backed up map is from at least six years ago, I'd considered a new model. Many have lifetime maps.

    When you connect the device to Home, press the right arrow of Home to get to the next screen. One of the links is backup and restore.

    It is that one which you need. If it works, great. Try that.

    Sorry to say but you are in the deep doodoo, as TomTom for some fumy reason do not want to provide the last possible valid map for those that have devices that have been declared obsolete.
