MyDrive & Start 52

Hi...Apologies if this has been covered a million times, but already regretting moving from my old XL. I've downloaded the correct update for Windows 7 on my laptop, however My Drive Connect won't open up beyond a black screen for me to connect my Start52. Is this a common fault?
