Unable to update Maps

For some reason, the bug that seemingly has persisted through various topics over the last four YEARS is still around with TomTom, and due to my zipcode, which is a legitimate zipcode, been the same for 20 years, is not valid through the software and will not allow me to update. I tried using the website, but I consistently get an unknown error involving my address, which I assume is the same problem. Reading other people's discussions and questions here, they called customer service to actually do something, which I'm trying, but I answered the stupid automated prompts, and have been listening to the same elevator music for 30 minutes waiting for someone to do their job.
