I had already found that but I cannot find a way of ensuring that the countries I need are mapped in detail.
Can someone look at the world map and verify that Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan & Kyrgyzstan are in fact included. I do not want to spend the money and then find it does not give me what I need for a motorcycle trip through those countries.
I can see that the countries are included BUT are they fully mapped?0 -
@uteman
Have a look at MyDrive route planner https://mydrive.tomtom.com/en_gb/#mode=viewport+viewport=40.62558,69.08146,6.04,0,0+ver=3 if you zoom in you can see various major roads, but not the streets in towns0 -

You should beat up your geography teacher.

Ethoz: I am unsure what your remark means.
I am merely stating that I can see that the countries are included in the TOM TOM map.
I do not need a geography lesson.
Appreciate help but not unnecessary comments like that.
When I review the mapping I can see that I can drill down to streets in Almaty, Kazakhstan & Shymkent Kazakhstan but most other places I will visit during my trip are merely shown as a GPS point on the map with maybe the major road to reach there shown but no streets and in may cases not even the roads to reach the location. Samarqand in Uzbekistan has a major road nearby but nothing else.
Dushanbe, Tajikistan shows a couple of points including a railway station but no street maps.
Many other locations are similar or show even less.
So, it appears that the TOM TOM map may not do what I want.
If I am missing something then I am happy to be educated by those more experienced.0 -

Well that certainly explains why I could only find some minor information.
I will look at using OsmAnd mapping on my phone.
Thanks for your help.
Very glad that I did not blindly buy the World Map that isn't quite a world map!
It might be a good idea For Tom Tom to update maps as the areas that I am travelling to are becoming quite popular0
