Tomtom 5100 registered in wrong country

I bought a Brand New Tomtom 5100 from Very, sealed, brand new, I already have a Rider so logged into my account, then plugged this in, it came back as registered in Canada before i’d even installed my North American maps....

I can’t buy the voice I want from the Tomtom store now because it says im in the wrong country to purchase the voice....

Ive never been to Canada. Why is my UK purchased device registered already to Canada?

    That said, it is weird that the registration says Canada, especially since the model isn't even sold here.
