I have just completed a trip from Townsville QLD Australia to Newcastle NSW Australia, a distance of 1800 Klms. On many occasions during the trip my TomTom was not accurate with regards to the posted speed limits (disregarding temporary roadworks). Also many times it lost its way due to dual carriageways and road improvements that are being constructed . Some of these road improvements have been in place for at least 2 years but TOM TOM has the old roads as its guideline and so the route just disappears.
The highway I am talking about is the national route 1 for the East coast of Australia ( A1 and M1 )m which runs many thousands of Klms. I am at a loss as to how to bring this to the notice of Tom Tom as I consider this to be a major problem for anyone travelling Australia's National Highway.
Hopefully someone in power reads this .

Which version of the map do you have on your GO 5000, see http://au.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12236/locale/en_gb
How does the route on MyDrive compare?
https://mydrive.tomtom.com/en_gb/#mode=routes+viewport=-22.41811,149.15394,6.32,0,-0+routes={"departure":true,"traffic":true,"routeType":"FASTEST","travelMode":"CAR","points":["hw~-19.25762,146.81788~A~Townsville, Herbert, Queensland, AUS","hw~-25.01984,151.97293~A~34030 Bruce Highway A1 (NATIONAL HIGHWAY), Redhill Farms QLD, AUS","hw~-32.92667,151.78002~A~Newcastle, New South Wales, AUS"],"avoidCriteria":[]}+ver=30 -
My Application version is18.103.0020.311(0)(09/05/2018)
My Map version for Australia is v1005.8759 released 01/2018
I keep my tomtom updated before use on any trips so it is always the latest info.
I understand about the Highway being upgraded and the time it takes to put changes to the maps into effect but some of these upgrades have been finished for some time (months and some of them a couple of years). Also the speed limits shown on the TomTom are incorrect for great distances at a time .
In all it makes it very hard to trust what the tomtom is telling me.
When it goes off the map it gives strange left right instructions to turn on roads that are not there .
