Updated Maps corrupted- MyDrive Connect

I downloaded the software to update the map on my TomTom. I have tried numerous times (at work and at home) and about 30% in, it just stops. My TomTom is about 5 years old. What should I do PLEASE?

    With MyDriveConnect running and the device connected, click on the Canada flag in MDC to get to Settings then click that. Go to downloads and clear the downloads folder and save the settings.

    Also, make sure an antivirus isn't affecting proper transmission. Use the cable that came with the device. Do a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds.

    Then try again to do the download.
