brick after NAV 4 update-RIDER 400

TOMTOM 400 great rides edition
installed obligatory update NAV 4 this morning, it all seemed to complete sucessfully.
The unit is unresponsive, can turn it off and back on but the menu system does not work,
I can do nothing with it, cant even get to system to try a reset

    Thanks for the information bartblack. I won't try to install the Nav 4 update until Tom Tom responds to your question. My Rider 400 is working nicely right now. Why spoil it or lose a lot of time trying to fix a problem which I don't have.

    I have even tried the restore mode which downloads and installs OK but makes no difference.
    unit is on its way back to tomtom for repair

    I'll leave it until we get some reports of success.

    Leaving aside the GDPR stuff, do we know if there is anything else in this release?? Like reverse a route?
