I have the same on the p8 lite. It's stuck on "Can't connect to TomTom. Try again later."
Have you found a solution already?0 -
Same on Xiaomi Mi A1 (Oreo 8.1). Stuck on this message for few days already..0

It works with not problems at all on a Huawei P20 Lite
I just installed it and downloaded Benlux map
Did you give it all the permissions???
If you do not do that it will not work0 -
Yes. I gave all permissions.
Reset of the app and re-install does not help either.0 -

My Huawei P8 lite 2 weeks old. (Android 8.0)
Went to the Google site.
Downloaded the app.
Opened it
Gave all the permissions.
Then download the map I wanted
Picked the voice I wanted
Went over all the settings
It is all set to go.
It works and I just tried it again.
Tested map downloads an the window opened.
Did not need any other maps
Closed window.
Traffic is working.
If you want a screen shot I will post the traffic info.
So there must be something else the user's who can not get this to work.
If you try to side load the app from anther smartphone it will not work.
You you try to copy or move the tomtom folder it will not work.
And if you do not have a Google account it will not work.
So there is something the user's have done and are not saying.
This does work.........!!!!!!!0 -

What does it prove?
As I said, I can run Tomtom in Android emulator without issues, but it refuses to start on my phone. Based on Play store reviews, there are many users with the same issue. I would gladly help Tomtom to troubleshoot this issue (provide logcat etc.), but they're not interested.0 -
I have the same issue on my Nokia 8 (running Android 8.1).
Up until yesterday it was working fine (with traffic and all), but then traffic information stopped working. After some basic troubleshooting (like clearing cache etc), I completely removed the app and reinstalled it (and given all permissions it asked for) and now I'm also stuck at "Can't connect to TomTom. Try again later."
I put in a support ticket this morning, I hope to get reply soon.0 -
I have the same problem with Go on my Huawei P10 lite. The app has worked fine since I installed it in January but yesterday traffic updates stopped working. The app can't connect to the internet. My wife has the same problem and do does one of my friends. He has uninstalled and reinstalled and now Go won't open at all. I also logged a ticket yesterday but I've had no response. Very frustrating for a paid for app!!0

I experienced the same, and did the same steps as @sprinsen. I hope there will be a solution soon.
Can someone of TomTom come in, instead of wiseacre @Asprin624 ?0 -
Updating the play store itself solved it for me. Apparently there was an issue with that (see also the other topic in this forum). You can update it by opening Play Store, going to Settings and then click on "Play Store version" at the bottom. If it tells you that the app store is updating, just wait a while (I could not see any progress of some sorts) but after a couple of minutes the store was updated and Tomtom started working again, including traffic.0

@maarten03,
Why because it has worked for me with out problems.
The very last thing I do is remove the app.
I keep all my smartphones and tablets up to date for one thing.
Have never ran into any problems with TomTomGO on any of the smartphones or tablets I have tested.
Be is on Android 4.0 to 8.0
I might be an old man but removing the app completely only to run into more problems is not the way to go.
One must have patience.
The app still works even if there is no speed cam or traffic working at the time of problems.
Most users are going to work and know where the problems areas are including all the speed cams.
Those that go on holiday can always check what the traffic is by looking at google maps.
Even knowing were the problems are still is not going to help even if traffic is working and there is a tail back of 10 km.
It happens every year everyone leaves at the same time and sits in traffic for hours.
No app with traffic info is going to help you out.
So if you think I am a wiseacre knock yourself out.
It worked for me and you had problems.
Have a nice day and have lots of patience driving to work or on holiday.
It is nice to see what every the problem was it is fix unit the next time.
But have patience and arrive alive.0 -
Forcing to stop the app under Settings/Apps/Go and then under Settings/Apps/Go/Storage selecting Clear Data solved the problem for me0
