Mount kit RAM parts specification/ RIDER
Hi,
I want to extend mount of my rider on handlebar, and want to buy extra ram leg.
I'm strugling to find specification of RAM parts used in kit: https://www.tomtom.com/en_us/drive/accessories/mounts-docks/bike-mount-kit-2015/
Can somebody help please to identify those?
is it RAM-B-201U-A that is included to mount kit?

I am presuming you already have a ram mount for your tomtom and want to extend that
In which case you need a longer double socket that fits between the two rubber balls
There are various length of Ram Mount double socket connectors you need to work out what length you need and purchase that. From your original link I guess you are in the US so have a look at something like this from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KN6B2W6/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B00KN6B2W6&pd_rd_wg=OmlL9&pd_rd_r=ANN7WW44V3CBZAJTSG98&pd_rd_w=qOJpa0 -
Thanks for reply, but is it 2.25" Ball Base mount used by TomTom?
https://www.rammount.com/components here you can see to the left different bolt sizez (A to E) in ram collection.
So judging your comment TomTom uses mount D size of ram holding up to 15lbs or 7kg?0 -
Hi
I think the standard ball size for motorcycle devices is 2.5cms. Your tomtom should have come with a basic ram mount kit like the one you originally linked too, so if you need to move the position then the double socket connection may be all you need to buy. Depending on the bike you could also consider either a steering stem ball mount or a handle bar mount that replaces a bolt fitting0
