Update freezing- MYdrive connect- start device

I tried to update my tomtom yesterday. It started to download but was taking longer than I anticipated. I had to unplug my tomtom half way through. My tomtom won’t work now. If I plug it back in and start the download again will it work

    Try a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds.
