Via 135 text messages- READ ALOUD

Does anybody have a step by step guide so I can have this model read out text messages.

ive done the settings so it reads them out but no luck

    A VIA 135 is NOT Bluetooth enabled therefore can not pair with your mobile phone to enable text messages to be transferred to it, so can not read them aloud.

    What are the first two characters of the serial number?

    I’ve actually made a call through the phone today using Bluetooth so not sure why the text reading does not work.

    Are you sure it is not one of these, a VIA 53

    "ZQ">VIA 53, 8GB + micro-SDHC, Wi-Fi NAV5 Wi-Fi

    I am sure it is not a VIA 135 as no serial number (under the bar code) starts 4e but check here https://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9508/locale/en_GB

    Just double checked my account on my drive and it’s saying via 135.

    strange that no model number is listed as 4e but there seems to be some confusion over the model number.
    not end of the world receiving texts as long as I can take/make calls.

    There is a VIA 135, with model number 4eq50 Z1230 and has a serial number starting with "BP"

    For these devices GO 1000 series, GO LIVE 800 series, Via series, Blue&Me TomTom 2 LIVE, Sony XNV, Mazda Navigation System NB1 (LIVE), TomTom Connect

    From the Main menu, tap Settings > Connections. Then follow the instructions on the screen.

    I have a Via 120 Live and a GO 825 Live
    The phone calls work well (No Texts)...
    For these NAV3 devices I use an ancient tiny Nokia 2630 phone

    To turn on Voice control for my Via 120 Live
    Tap Settings Menu
    Tap Voice control
    Tap Enable Voice Control
    Tap Back
    Tap done

    To use the Phone
    Tap the Microphone Icon (Screen left)
    Say "Phone"
    Tomtom says "Phone is this ok"
    Say "Yes"
    Tomtom says " Please select contact"
    To make the call say "(the list Item number or the contacts name)"
    Tomtom repeats the name
    Say "Yes" The call is made
    If contact is not in the list say "Next page"
    Repeat "Next page" to scroll down through phone book
    Repeat "First page" to scroll up through phone book

    this is a strange one, my device asked me if I wanted messages reading out straight away or for me to be asked.
    lime I said, it’s not the end of the world but the tomtom I had 8 years ago read texts out.
