Sync Runner 3 with Turbo Trainer
I have recently purchased a turbo trainer (Elite Aleno Smart Elastogel from Decathlon). The turbo trainer connects to my phone (using the supplied app) and seems to work perfectly. However, I was very keen to connect the trainer to my Runner 3, so I can view all my activities within TomTom Sport. The sensors are both Ant+ and Bluetooth (apparently).
The Runner 3 picks up the cadence/speed sensor in the turbo trainer very quickly and get's a good signal... except it's picking up silly results. The Runner 3 was saying I was cycling at 220km/h, which I don't think is quite accurate... I tried to work-around by reducing the 'circumference' of my tyre 150mm. This gave me more reasonable speeds, in the 30km/h area. However, the activity logs show this significant amplitude in both the speed and cadence. See screenshots below;
As the Elite app gives sensible results, I think the issue is with how the Runner 3 is interpreting the results from the built-in cadence/speed sensor.
Has anyone experienced this before and/or got any bright ideas?
