finding my tom tom type and updating software and maps

I ve been tasked by my son to update his tom tom. The problem is he hasnt got any information on it.
Ive found the following on the rear of the device.
Model 4EN42 - Z1230
Hes lost the software that came with it also.
So my plan is if I can find what type it is I can download the correct software for the device.
Advice appreciated.
