I have a Start 55 M.
TomTom no longer updates my maps, cause lack of space.
I intend to purchase a Via 1515 TM wich has more memory + an sd slot.
In my device I have a North America map, living in Canada. But I also have in storage in my TomTom account a map for Italy and one for France.
My question is the following, will I be able to transfer these maps to my new device and update them ?
Thank you for you the time and answer.

Thank you for your answer. This totally ridiculous! I bought these maps from TomTom for a TomTom device an they will not let me transfer these to their new device !! This is OUTRAGEOUS ! They want to oblige us the rebuy the same maps.! I feel abused of and robbed !!
WILL ABSOLUTELEY NOT BUY THIS NEW DEVICE !!
Was not sure between Tom Tom and Garmin. I have my answer GARMIN it will be !

Change of plans !
Yesterday tried to update my device for the last time. To my surprise I was able! Why? Tom Tom has devided the USA map in three parts. By downloading the Eastern part of USA + Canada, my Start 55M has enough space for these new maps!
Hurray, I don't have to buy a new GPS. Will keep my TOM TOM for now!
Thank you TT, but I still feel that the fact of not being able to transfer maps from an older device to a new one is not fair for the consumers that we are !!
