TomTom GO 6000 eternal loop resetting?

Hi Tom Tom users, I own a Tom Tom Go 6000. Recently tried an update, which went through okay using My Drive Connect. I was able to boot the device to the maps screen.

An hour later I tried to turn on the device and it loaded halfway and went to the spinning wheel, followed by the screen/Tom Tom/Cable and X

I decided to follow the information in this video.

Followed the instructions in the video to the letter.

Now all it keeps doing is re-setting and reconnecting over and over.
See photos of sequence, just keeps doing this over and over.

It never gets to the map screen as the video suggests.

Can anyone help?

    Try a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds. Do this without connecting to MyDriveConnect.

    Hi dhn,

    I managed to get to the root screen, ( image attached) but thats as far as it goes. Once there if I press the button, it goes back to drum roll, the progress bar goes nearly halfway across the bottom, then I get the rotating wheel followed by the twin screen image with the red X.

    The crazy thing is, it did a full upgrade prior to this and was working fine. I only reconnected it to the laptop to look at New voices.

    Really appreciate your help.

    If the restore does not work, try on a different computer.
