XL IQ routes, do i now own a brick?

Think I have tried every reset on the TomTom website, reset button underneath, holding power button until drum sounds, holding power until diagnostics screen, reset from diagnostics screen. Device does show up in device manager, but worryingly shows as 0mb, 0mb, 0mb and is not recognised by Home 2.

Any thoughts.

Concerned that i should not have bought their final map update offer, built in device failure after a month or so ?????
