Do I need to buy a speed & cadence sensor to measure speed when outdoor cycling

I have purchased the spark 3 music watch and before I go out and buy a speed and cadence sensor will the watch already measure my speed when outdoor cycling without a speed and cadence sensor?

    Yes, without a speed and cadence sensor it will measure speed based on GPS (it is going to do this even if you have a sensor as GPS overrides the sensor). All you will lose without a sensor is cadence information. You would need a sensor to get speed data indoors.
