Recognizing my chest HRM among many runners around me

Hi all,

today I coupled my new Wahoo Tickr X HRM to my Tomtom Runner 3 watch for the first time. Seems to work well. However, at no point did I have to select which external HRM to connect to. So my question is: what will happen if I put it on in a changing room full of runners with Bluetooth chest HRMs? Can I be sure somehow my watch will connect to my chest HRM? Any input from people with experiences in this regard are highly welcome.

Thanks,

Bjorn

You need to make sure you are out of range of others with BT+ chest straps as it will pick up the closest one. I would suggest stepping out of the room or away from others (the range is pretty small) before attempting to pair it. There is no way to select a specific device.

I hope this helped answer your question. If so, please mark it as a solution so others can look for it if they have the same question.
