I have a GO5200 with lifetime Maps, Traffic and Speed Cameras. My home region is Europe but I sometimes go to South Africa and The Middle East. Does Traffic and Speed Cameras work in other regions?

@Nomad2
Sorry to say but Traffic and Camera services are limited to the region of purchase, even though the device is sold with "World" maps
See the coverage notes here https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/sat-nav/maps-services/shop/speed-camera-updates/europe/

Thanks for the reply but it is out of date. What you are referring to, is the old situation.
TomTom have replied to me that you can buy a Traffic Receiver Cable [£39.99 in UK] that works in any country where TMC traffic is available. Check Traffic Receiver under Chargers and Cables on their website.
I hope this helps others who visit other regions.0 -

There is a difference between the traffic received by Traffic Receiver Cable and the LIVE traffic that Niall (correctly) points to. LIVE traffic is more complete (all roads) and more comprehensive while the RDS traffic is better than nothing but is limited to major roads in most regions. BUT, the RDS traffic is for life.0 -
Thanks for that clarification. It obviously will be at the mercy of the quality of information that local radio station put out, but as you say, it's better than nothing.
I think I'll also try the phone app, so I'll need another holder for that!0
