Changing cars with Tomtom devices

Hi,

I recently got another car with another Tomtom device build into the car. I had to change to a new device in tomtom home to be able to update the maps of my new car. I currently have 6 months left of updates on my account. After switching to my new cars card it does not want to update. Can somebody please have a look why this is.

I spoke to renault but they say I have to contact tomtom about map updates.
