I bought a new via 1625tm off Amazon, the box says it's a 1625tm, all factory sealed & packaged, all that.
I did the initial updates and when I look under the "About" section in the gps, it says it's a 1615 tm.
I popped off the mount from the rear of the unit and I don't see a memory card slot.
Any thoughts?
I did run the serial # and it just tells me it is either a 1615 or 1625.........not a lot of help

A 1625 TM means it's a 1625 model with lifetime fm traffic with the included combo rds-tmc car charger (hence the 'T') and lifetime maps (the 'M')0

Thanks, you misunderstood my post. The unit itself dosent show an external model number. My confusion is why the software, since it shows up in the "about" section in the unit itself after I installed the updates, says it's a 1615TM there. It'll probably work okay for me either way. All packaging is clearly for a via 1625TM.
Just wanted to know if anyone else has had something like this with theirs.
Couldn't really find on TT site any comparison between the 2 models.0
