Activity on the watch not seen after connecting the watch to Sports App using the MySports User acco

I have a TomTom Adventurer sports watch and i have been using it for 6 months now. I did not connect it to mysports app before. I have now connected the watch to Mysports account (on app) and want to see my activity for the last 6 months, but it doesn't show anything? Why is that so?

    So you never synced the watch, either using a phone app or a computer? You did not get a storage full message at some point? All stored activities should upload when you connect but if there are a lot it may take along time. If you did any kind of reset in the meantime you would have cleared all the activities off the watch. You should be syncing at least every three days to get the updated GPS file so it attains satellites faster for GPS enabled activities.

    I never synced, neither did i connect my watch to my mysports account until Feb 5th, 2015.
    It did not give a storage full error or anything.
    I first time connected my watch to my mysports account on the 5th Feb, 2018 and now it is showing me my activity for 6th and 7th. So is it necessary to "connect" it to a user account for it to show the activity? I thought it would connect the activity to the user account whenever i sync or login in using my user account and pair.

    Yes, syncing is what uploads the activity to MySports so you can view it. Since the watch does not have built in cellular how else would it get there?

    OK let me re-phrase my question (since all the answers i see here don't address the issue i have)
    I have a TomTom adventurer watch which i am using for 6 months (wear it everyday - so it counts the steps, and occasionlly also used it for cycling and running). on 5th February, i connected my watch to TomTom Mysports connect and to the MySports App.
    It did a sync, but i still don't see any data for the last 6 months. It shows an empty Activity page.
    Any idea why?

    It only saves data for a limited period of time so if you never synced in the 6 months you had it likely deleted it at some point (activity tracking like steps is only counted for 2 weeks, I am not sure how long it will hold sports activities). From now on sync regularly.

    Thanks again for the reply. However, i don't see steps and activities for even 1 day prior... from the 2nd to 4th Feb i had been to Italy and hiked a little bit and it doesn't show even that. Frankly that's all I am interested in seeing, which is not even a week old as of today (or as of 5th Feb - when i synced)

    At this point I would suggest calling Customer Support to see what they can do. They are able to more deeply investigate and diagnose problems than we can here on the user forum. To get the number for Customer Support, choose Contact Us at the bottom of this page, select the service required and the product name and click Contact Customer Care and then Phone Us. It will give you the phone number for the country your account is registered under (this can be changed by clicking the flag icon in the bottom right corner of the screen).
