Volume always reverts to 50% after I've increased it.

No matter what I try, my VIA 1535 refuses to be set on a volume higher than 50%. Changing this is futile. The new volume, say, 80%, lasts for only a few seconds and then the device goes back to 50%.

Am I missing something?

    Try a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds. See if the volume setting 'sticks' then.
