Smart Notifications

I've just bought a Runner 3 and updated to the latest software. I've set syncing to ON and alerts to ON within the manage section of phone settings on the watch but am still not getting notified when calls, texts or alarms come through on my phone.
Can anyone advise what I might be doing wrong please?!

    All you will get for notifications are those from the native phone and text apps, not third-party apps (like Facebook messenger or What's App and no alarms). And all you get is single notification alert on a single screen, you cannot scroll through to recall missed ones or interact with it in any way. It essentially just telling you to look at your phone. You can try a factory reset and see if that helps but it may be you are not using a compatible phone or text app or you are just not seeing them as they are there and gone in a few seconds.
