I have just discovered (no prior notification sent to me) that my GO720, which functions perfectly well, cannot have any updates or new maps loaded. This is ridiculous! I refuse to purchase another device from TomTom and will never, under any circumstances, recommend that anyone do so -- should they ask. What a complete ripoff!

Tomtom have ISO 14001:2015 certification and "TomTom is committed to a proactive global take-back strategy. As such, we are financially contributing to the collection and recycling of end-of-life TomTom products, batteries and packaging."
To assist them with their responsibilities I suggest everyone return their prematurely obsolete device for recycling by posting it to:
