Go520 updates

Just purchased a replacement for my older TOMTOM. set everything up with the new one, set up with my iPhone but when i try to update it comes up with "something went wrong. please try again" tried connecting it to my iMac and says the same ?

    I have exactly the same problem. Keeps telling me "Oops something went wrong please try again later", have done zo a hundred times... both via Wifi and via computer. UK support link provided above does not contain anything that can help me. TomTom doesn't respond to my questions (via menu and via twitter) so what's next?

    No idea why but on Monday I was able to update everything. I didn't change a thing, it just did it's thing!
