I have a TomTom XL that has reached the end of it`s life. I don`t own a smart phone, what would be the best replacement model?

The use of a smart phone is only relevant to the level of traffic info you want (if any)
The other thing you have to think about is the depth of your pocket and if you travel outside Europe.
The basic START with the "lifetime" maps of Europe and only 3 months of speed camera starts from 120 GBP plus 40 GBP for a traffic receiver
Then there is the top of the range GO 5200 with worldwide "lifetime" maps and European traffic via inbuilt SIM for 300 GBP
