Lifetime updates discontinued for EOL

When I purchased this item in May 2014, it came with "lifetime" map updates. Now I am getting notices that updates to maps are no longer being sold and I should look to purchase a replacement navigation device.

I am hoping that that notice does not apply to my TomTom Via620 which was purchased including lifetime map updates, as a "lifetime" is not 3 years 8 months.

Please advise.
