TomTom Cardio GPS Watch Won't Pair with iPhone

I have been unable to pair my TomTom Cardio GPS Watch to either of my iPhones. I have reset my watch/restored the factory setting. Updated to the most current software on my watch 1.7.62. The phone and watch are able to find one another when I try to pair them, but when it gets to the part when it gives the code it flashes immediately away. I'm barely able to read it. Then the phone just says connecting and never asks for the code on either iPhones. What else can I do?

If you search the forums you will find this is a known issue for many users with the recent updates. They are reportedly working on a fix, but no timeline has been communicated (it has been over three months so I would not hold my breath). In the meanwhile you always have the option of syncing via computer. If you go to this post and ask the moderator to roll back your firmware version it should fix it, although you will lose the Fitness Points and Fit age features:
