Hi Vikram, I have an affected device (VIA 120 LIVE FMxxxxxxxx) and have not received any e-mails with a replacement offer discount on upgrading to a current device.

I live in South Africa and can see the discount offers on the GB, US and AU sites, but nothing on the https://www.tomtom.com/en_ZA/obsolete-products/ site?

How do I go about redeeming the replacement offer discount in South Africa please?

Mod edit: Please don't post private or personal information on a public forum. Thanks!

Can I re-assure you that you year long subscription will be honoured, BUT you will not be able to extended it when it expires in September :(
I purchased a live update at the end of December 217, and since the end of January the traffic updates have stopped working. I have asked for a refund of my live update fee.

    Hello all

The official date to declare the RIDER EOL for the serial number K1, K2 and K3 was scheduled for today(30th October 2018) but I see that many users already knew about it.

The website links in my first post have been updated to reflect this.

EthoZ was quick enough to inform everyone here

    Thanks
    Vikram :)

How many of these users have already been sent emails telling them in advance that their device will be declared obsolete so that they could have got the last update before it is too late?

So after tomorrow these users will be locked out of purchasing map version 10.15?
Or is it with the release of version 10.20?

Starting from the 05th March 2019 some more Nav2 and Nav3 devices will be considered as EOL. This means that for those devices we won't sell any maps or services. I have updated the announcement with the serial numbers above.

What about the M8 Go 920 & J6 GO 930 as they are also EoL'd as mentioned here :- https://discussions.tomtom.com/en/post/quote/1014468/Comment_1628122
    https://discussions.tomtom.com/en/post/quote/1014468/Comment_1628144

These two 4GB internal memory with SD card slot devices are not in your edited list or edited in Nialls list either

Re above, these 2 are missing from https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/obsolete-products/#car and Nialls list

So as of today these users will be locked out of purchasing map version 10.25?
Or is it with the release of version 10.30?

Is there a frozen version of 10.25 that can be allocated in the future?
There was a LOT of flack last year when again the EoL was made retrospective

To save VikramK squirming or making excuses:-
None were given advance notice (fait accompli is the term; or tough sh1t!)
Locked out already (as of Mar-7)

A long time ago I got a message saying my XXL 540 was too old & would not get updates anymore, so I stopped trying.

Then I received an email recently saying I should update the software because of the GPS Week Number Rollover. When I did that update, TomTom's system indicated I could also update the US map. Obviously I was surprised.

I did a quick read of this thread & it appears the XXL 540 can still get upgraded maps. It appears emails were sent out regarding this, however I never received such an email. Obviously I get emails from TomTom because they sent me the one about the WNRO.

Now I'm curious why the 2MB storage all of a sudden is enough, but only on the XXL 540. Any ideas why 2MB works on the XXL 540?

    @Stumped2

It depends on the first two characters of the serial number
    "RX">XXL 540 S, 2GB, TomTom HOME NAV2 EoL
    "RZ">XXL 540, 4GB, TomTom HOME NAV2

So if "RZ" then it has 4GB and is not yet End of Life

My serial number starts with "RX".

When connected to my PC the TomTom properties indicate:
    Capacity: 1.84 GB
    Used Space: 1.57GB
    Free Space: 267 MB

I do recall the message saying the GPS was too old or words to that effect. It did not say there was not enough room. My friend has the same model & also said he could not update and now he can. I'll ask ask about his serial number.

In that case give Customer Services a call before you spend any extra money on your device, but stay silent thorough the product screening process soas to get to a real agent

Wow, I just got the email today. I had not bought a map or subscription for my GO 920 in a couple of years so may have been on the low priority list.

Hi VikramK, I received my email on 19th March telling me my TT is EOL. I have a Go 910 V7 with 18 GB which seems plenty of capacity for the new maps. Therefore, would you let me know whether there is another reason why it has made EOL please.

    Hi Douglap,

    No, not in that list.

    Hi @Bchops

Maybe you have had message in error or for another old model you had they still have on record.

    Maybe @VikramK can confirm.

    Hi Douglap,

Have only ever had one model, i.e. Go 910. As you say , I hope VikramK can advise me why it's EOL when it has 18 GB.
