Different calories on watch and app?

I recently got the spark 3 cardio &music and have been noticing that the calories displayed on the watch and on the mysports app are different, immediately after syncing. For example right now my watch is displaying 119 calories but the morning summary on the app is showing 69 kcal. Can anyone explain why or is my watch not working properly? Thanks!

There is often a timing difference between what is on the watch and what gets synced. There is a lag with the app not showing the full watch count. It eventually catches up. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to fix it, it is what it is.

Thanks for the answer tfarabaugh but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to catch up. If I look at the daily activity for yesterday it’s showing only 948 calories? For a full day? My watch was showing over 1800? And now this morning the app is saying only 102 but it’s 11am so surely my BMR is more like my watch is saying 714?0
