When in an existing topic there are new replies, you can see from the overview because it shows this number in green. But when the entire topic is new, how can we see from the overview? I can't seem to find differences in the overview between existing topics without new replies, and new topics.

@lampard
Please can we have a fix for this ASAP, as it is getting frustrating having to scan a lot of threads to find the one that we have not read
Sorry for responding late.
Yes, this is indeed time consuming and I will ask Lorna if this can be improved.
However when using front end I try to do this:
2. Then I try to look for the small balloon icon at the bottom of the topic name, if it shows '0' then its a new topic with no comments posted.
Please correct me if this is not what you were looking for.
Thank you
Vikram

I will click on 'mark this forum as read' when I'm finished with a subforum and all 'new' flags disappear as expected.
BUT...........
If and when I come back to the subforum later in the session or some hours laters, I find that many of the subforums again have as marked 'new' threads and replies that I marked read earlier.
Seems to happen randomly with many subforums here. A pain in the a**, of course.

Partially. For example in the Map Quality board the overview says there two unread topics. But when I do you trick, there is only one post with 0 replies. Once I open that one, the board overview now says 1 unread topic. However it does not show in the list when doing your trick. Is there any other way to see which topic is the unread one?

This problem is exacerbated on a Monday, when the moderators moved threads from "Ask a question" to their final board, if there have been no replies to a thread, it may be several days old, but it is still marked as unread but nothing is green so take a long time to find, and the 'Mark this forum as read' coding is at the moment corrupted ( see this thread )
Or else I will ask Lorna to take this up with inSided and see if can have this feature added.
@dhn, give me some and let me play around with it and I will get back...
Thank you all
Vikram:)
I have been using the frond end for the last few days to see the odd behavior you mentioned.
Clicking 'Mark forum as read' and then returning again after a few sessions or hours and see if it acts crazy:upside_down:, but it looks to be okay...
Do you still see that happening? If yes, then I will continue to monitor this further..
Thanks
Vikram

As I said 11 days ago, when the mods move threads out of "Ask a question" that have had no reply, there is no way that they are highlighted as unread, the 3 that you refer to are in fact 3 or more days old:-
HOME NOT RESPONDING WHEN TOMTOM CONNECTED
TomTOm One Can't delete ttgo.bif
Can't update map in my region
I have cleared the cache/cookies and tryed different browsers.
Am I the only one having this?

Which browser are you using? As I do not get the requests using Chrome, but do get them using Edge
Superusers
Use Edge. Was referring to the headings staying black.

Think InSided have been playing about again, as a couple of days ago all threads had a "missing image" displayed due to an unresolved path
Superuser
I have the same thing with IE and Firefox, the consulted topics remain black whereas they became gray in the past.
Superuser
Can you confirm the InSided have updated the forum? If so what was in their release notes?
Yes, they have made some changes keeping in mind the GDRP.
And there are some bugs like the repeated cookies pop up banner, unread topic colours, video uploads just show a link.
We have reported all of these.
**Just got an update -the cookie pop up has now been fixed and if you accept all the cookies the video should get displayed as before.**

How did their release notes compare with what TomTom releases to us users?
Superuser
I confirm for videos and cookies, everything is OK for me now.
Only the titles in gray remain to be solved ...
