Altimeter on Adventurer

Hi all,

I've just started my second snowboard season with my Tomtom Adventurer. Unfortunately first day on the slopes and my Adventurer is not tracking altitude, descent, gradient, etc. They read '---' for a few minutes before being greyed out with a little triangle symbol next to it. Automatic lift detection is not working, and when I sync with my phone the activity is recorded as one long activity - there is no division in to runs and the long, arrow-straight journeys on chair lifts are recorded as part of one long 'ride.'

I've reset and updated, synced etc but no dice. Any suggestions?

After the strap gave up the goose after a few months of use, starting to worry this was a bad investment.

It sounds like the altimeter may have failed since all of those things require the altimeter. At this point I would suggest calling Customer Support to see what they can do. They are able to more deeply investigate and diagnose problems than we can here on the user forum. To get the number for Customer Support, go to, choose Contact at the bottom, select the service required and the product name and click Contact Customer Care and then Phone Us. It will give you the phone number for the country your account is registered under (this can be changed by clicking the flag icon in the bottom right corner of the screen).

I hope this helped answer your question. If so, please mark it as a solution so others can look for it if they have the same question.
