Can Rider 450 warn of mobile camera locations?

Hi. First time poster here.
Keen motorcyclist, 10,00+ miles a year including European touring.

I have been successfully using a GO 740 LIVE in a waterproof case.
Its ability to warn me of commonly used mobile camera locations,
some entered by me, is much appreciated.
Unfortunately the unit is dying.

Can somebody give me a definitive answer to;
will a Rider 450 using TomTom downloads/updates and services,
warn me of both active mobile cameras (reported very recently)
AND mobile speed camera locations reported in the past?

If it won't, is there a practical/easy fix?

I would welcome comments from experienced Rider users.

Thanks

Peter

    Hi
You cannot load 3rd party Speed Cams onto the Rider4xx models or any of the later/latest NAV4/5(Wifi) Devices

Using the following setting will give Spoken warnings for Fixed plus Mobile Hotspot speed cameras

For an Improvement, over the default settings try.....
Use a Computer voice ... In the UK either Serena or Malcolm
    Also, Try.....
From the main screen... Tap (.... Menu) -> Setting -> Sounds & Warnings...
    Have you Set.....
Warning Type... Set to... Read Allowed
(Important... Needs a Computer Voice set in the Voices menu i.e Serena UK)
Speed Cameras & Hazards... Set to ON
The next 10 Setting... Set all to Always
The next 4 Settings... Set all to ON

The Tomtom system is supposed to be a smart system, where you do not receive false positive warnings
But I prefer 3rd party systems where they warn of all speed cam locations Speed camera present or not, I don't mind false positives

    Hi Apexnailer

    Welcome to the community:)

The RIDER 450 indeed will warn you about a mobile speed camera, you will find this information in the user guide as well, see here

Read Mikko's comment here which gives a detailed explanation of how mobile speed cameras work on TomTom devices.

    Regards
    Vikram

Thank you BOTH for helping so promptly. Much appreciated.
I did considerable research before posting, so was aware of some of the points you kindly made...

    YamFazMan.
    Just to be clear; when you write "Mobile Hotspot speed cameras", does this mean;
a mobile speed camera that has been reported very recently? - Maybe in the last hour or so..
    OR
a mobile speed camera position reported days, if not months before?
And perhaps by several people over a period of time.

I share your preference for 3rd party systems.
Something my GO 740 LIVE will allow, when it's working!

Thank you for your welcome and the two links.
I had read them before, but wanted to check from an experienced user or two,
as I am not sure of the precise definition of Mobile Hotspot speed cameras.

I would much prefer to be warned of all mobile speed camera sites used,
rather than just those reported in the last hour or so.

So, if either or both of you could define Mobile Hotspot for me,
    I would much appreciate it.

    Thanks again
    Peter

    PS
I have read several comments stating that the TomTom file of mobile speed camera sites in recent satnavs is much smaller (less locations) that in older models.

    Hi
I regularly travel along the A449 to Worcester, there are two fixed cameras three regular Mobile sites, all five sites notify every time... The mobile camera van uses other locations along the A449 I find in general these to be also reported, but obviously, some other Tomtom user has reported them first
I ALWAYS confirm or deny a camera presence when asked
I ALWAYS report their presence if I spot a camera and have not been asked

    Thanks for that YamFazMan.
So, your TomTom warns of the three regular mobile sites.
    That is very reassuring.

My riding patch is mainly Oxfordshire (lots of blanket 50's) and West Berkshire.
Mobile vans are somewhat active in Morse & Lewis land ..

    Thanks again.
    BTY; Fazer 600 or 1000?
