it appears that more and more cell providers are charging for bluetooth tethering service. at&t, cricket, metro pcs are the ones that i'm currently aware that charge for that feature. it seems as if they want to discourage people from using this feature. can tomtom use other ways to get traffic update other than bluetooth tethering? the way it's going, i won't be using tomtom unless i have to.

    Hi
Here in the UK, If needed I can set up a Wifi Hotspot on my Phone
My NAV5(Wifi) GO 520 and GO 620 will receive Live Traffic over the Wifi Hotspot

Wifi hotspot is under the same category as Bluetooth tethering as far as cell providers in the USA is concerned. The only way to get that feature is paying $60 extra under Metro PCS per line and unlimited data plan for Cricket Wireless. This is a new way for cell providers in USA to gouge customers.

Use Go Mobile and no tethering is required.

I suppose it's a mobile app installed in cell phone? If that's the case. I might as well use google map.
