My last update was Oct 26, 2017 and I have since then been unable to get updates for my TomTom One.
Tomtom Home gives an error message that my device is not recognized, but this error has been around long before and I was still able to get the Quick GPS Fix.
But you're supposed to be able to get the GPS quickfix updates nevertheless... (only new map purchases/updates are barred)
Have you tried to delete the ephem folder contents to force quickfix?
Sorry, zero, your notification went to my spam box, and I had given up.
Yes, I've tried deleting the folder to force quickfix, and it didn't work.
I'll try again...
Hi zero, Just did it again, and it still doesn't work. That's OK. My One only failed once (three years after purchase) but I restored it by copying the entire contents from a backup back to the One.
It's served me more than 9 years, and still works fine. I have no reason to complain.
If you have done a drum roll reset on your GPS unit, for some reason Quick GPS Fix gets dropped from the GPS. In Tomtom Home, go to 'manage my GPS' and reinstall Quick fix from your computer to the unit. Then run an update and it should work. This works on my old XL 30. Every time I do a drum roll restart this happens.
