TomTom Spark not syncing with Android after s/w updates

I have a Tomtom Spark watch which was synching perfectly with my Android 8.0.0 until few days ago when I was prompted to make software updates to the watch. I've been unable to pair it with my phone as the keypad for entering pin doesn't even appear. What could've gone wrong? Is there a way to undo those updates on my watch?

    Yours would be the first watch to be able to connect to android 8.0, since it is unsupported by TomTom. Are you sure your phone did not update to 8.0 recently, which would cause it to be unable to sync? If not, there is a known issue for some users with the new update. They are reportedly working on a fix, but no timeline has been communicated. In the meanwhile you always have the option of syncing via computer.
