DEFICIENT PRODUCTS AND POOR QUALITY POLICY

My multisport watch's control button went off and the screen started to act funny, showing one after the other adjacent screens up and down, right and left. Too bad. Sent it to repair and got a "new" one back on the dates when the first 2 years of the guarantee were finishing. Now the "new" one does nothing when the button is pressed. After contacting customer support they tell me that the date of purchase of the original watch is what counts to define if the guarantee covers the problems in the "new" unit. Clearly, a poor way to keep customers. All I am offered is to pay 50€ to get it "repaired" or 20% discount in a new watch. I DON'T TRUST TOM TOM ANYMORE. NO MORE OF MY MONEY INTO THESE DEFICIENT WATCHES AND NO MORE OF MY LOYALTY TO THIS KIND OF COMPANY. :(:@ My question is: I paid the full price for a satisfactory product... how can Tom Tom be so irresponsible of the problems of their products?
