Anyone help me, i have a TomTom Start, we removed our factory setting uk and europe to put a brought canadian/usa map on - when removing and trying to reinstall the UK/Europe maps it says it doesn't have enough room which is strange as the UK/Europe maps are smaller MB - can anyone advise what i can do?

Try a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds. Unless that device has a dedicated reset hole on the back beside the usb port when you take the back cover off.

Then see if the map fits.

Thanks, i have tried this and no difference - do you know how to restore to factory settings - maybe it will reset back to original map that way - what do you think?

Do you have a backup of your unit's contents? A factory reset will not restore a removed map.
