Hi
Also, check if any of the highlighted items are crossed through or if the volume slider is set to the left (Minimum)
Should be similar-ish layout to my GO5200 -
It did not work0

Hi
Which voice have you selected on the device
Do you hear any sounds at all ???
Have you tried a Drum roll restart on the device ????
Charge the device for at least 2Hrs "OR" have the device plugged into a power supply
Press and hold the on/off button until you hear a drum-roll sound then release the on/off button.
You won’t lose anything; it’s just like rebooting your PC
I use a Soft/drum-roll start after any upgrade large or small.
It’s also useful to keep in mind for sorting out most minor niggles......

Thanks for that. I have an iPhone so can't do a drum roll restart. Voice is Karen. I hear sounds for speed cameras etc but no voice directions. But if I slide the volume it says " you have reached your destination". I have talked to TomTom but their understanding of English is poor.0

The Setting from my iPad

Warnings... Read Aloud warnings
Speed Camera Warnings... Set all to Always
Safety Warnings... Set all to Always
Tap (.... Menu) --> Settings --> Voices.....
Turn all to 'On' except... Read aloud foreign street names (Unless required)

It works. I just realised what the instructions mean in the screen shot that u sent y'day. (My layout is a bit different). The highlighted red box on the RHS of the volume slider had a line through it. Thank u very much. Such a simple thing that I missed.0
